Hey everyone -- this weekend make sure you put some thought into your ads for your books and what techniques you're going to use to sell it. Remember it needs to be enticing. Sell the story, the message, the adventure...whatever it is that you can say to make it appealing. Simarly, don't forget to work on your oral presentation too. You might want to think about some things you can do to make your presentation stand out.

Geography Assignment
This is a reminder to both 7A and 7B that tomorrow during geography will be your only opportunity to work on your newspaper photographs in class.
If you're not planning on getting together with your partner outside of school, then I strongly suggest that you bring your props for tomorrow to stage your photographs for the fictional earthquake.
Remember you need to include:

- 3 photographs that portray strong emotions and show the effect of the earthquake
- Sketches of the proposed pictures
- And a written analysis of one of your pictures that analyzes the setting, the poses...etc. WHAT emotions are you trying to communicate to the viewer -- HOW are you achieving that?

Welcome Back!
Hi 7B,
I'd just like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to 2012! There are obviously a lot of things on the go as the term winds down so this is just a summary of what we have on the agenda:
Although our stories are finished and marks have been distributed (students, please share those with your parents) we're still going to be working on designing an advertisement and conducting an oral presentation to sell our books.

We're also starting our final drafts for our newspaper articles. TONIGHT, YOU NEED TO RESEARCH A NATURAL DISASTER OF YOUR CHOICE AND BRING IT IN TOMORROW FOR GEO AND LANGUAGE.
